Close by is Eastern Neck Wildlife Refuge, a 2,285-acre island providing habitat for thousands of wintering waterfowl, including the tundra swan. Swans feed off of grasses in the river and narrows as do the waterfowl. Eastern Neck refuge supports a wide variety of habitats including brackish marsh, natural ponds, upland forest, and grasslands. The refuge offers wonderful wildlife viewing and expansive views of the Chester River and Chesapeake Bay along 7 different trails. Fishing is permitted at Tundra Swan Boardwalk, Ingleside Recreation area (closed seasonally), and Bogles Wharf. Hunters enjoy fall deer hunting and a spring youth turkey hunt.

Sites may be limited as this is a small campground. The campground is directly on the bay with several waterfront sites currently available. The campground also has a small boat ramp for kayaks, paddleboards, and small boats.
All sites will have 50- or 30-amp electricity and water. No sewer; however, several dump stations throughout the campground. The bath house is currently out of service. Management hopes to have it fully
functional by September; however, there are no guarantees.

Call the campground directly to make your reservation at (410) 639-7485. The event is listed under Glenna Christopher, Airstream Rally. Email Glenna with your site number when you have a reservation - glenna@christophershw.com.

Sites blocked include G1-G12 ($75 per night) which is a group camping area as well as B10-B13 ($100 per night) which are premium waterfront lots. Tom and I have site B11. The waterfront lots have a nice lawn area between the sites and the bay that we thought would be a great gathering space, keeping in mind that it is “public space”. Make your reservations today!
