The New York Finger Lakes Airstream Club (NYFLAC) and the Washington DC Unit (WDCU) are teaming up for a joint rally to explore Knoebels and the surrounding area. This rally will take place August 22-25, 2024.
Situated in Elysburg, Pennsylvania, Knoebels Amusement Park opened on July 4, 1926 with a Crystal Pool, a Merry-Go-Round and a few food stands. It has grown to include over 60 rides, sit-down and counter service restaurants, a golf course and two campgrounds. It is the largest free-admission amusement park in the United States and has consistently won awards for best roller coasters and best food. It has been voted one of the top 10 family friendly amusement parks in the United States.
Registration will be open to members of the two clubs first. Once members have had the chance to sign up, registration for affiliates and non-members will open as long as there are additional sites. Check the jotform for details on costs, important dates and registration and payment procedures.
Not into amusement parks? The Susquehanna River Valley is host to Weisner State Park and the Anthracite Outdoor Adventure Area for those of you interested in hiking, biking, fishing and wildlife viewing. Mall and specialty store shopping can also be found in the area.
