Santa Fe Opera Rally 2024 - Registration Will Open March 1st
July 25-28, 2024: Santa Fe Opera Rally in partnership with the New Mexico Unit. Take advantage of this unique opportunity to attend a rally AND an opera in beautiful Santa Fe next summer. We will be camping at Santa Fe Skies RV Campground. No visit to the opera is complete without a delicious tailgate party prior to the performance. Stay tuned for more details.
Come and experience opera in the magical venue of the Santa Fe Opera's natural amphitheater in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains. We'll arrive on Thursday, spend Friday exploring Santa Fe on our own, and Saturday, attend the 8:30 pm performance of Donizetti's "Elixir of Love," with a tailgate party starting at 5:30. Optional opera events include 9:00 am daily backstage tours, and prelude talks about each performance at 6:30 and 7:30 pm. This is a joint rally with the New Mexico Unit.
RESERVE YOUR CAMPSITE NOW! 20 Sites have been set-aside at Santa Fe Skies for July 25-28, 2024. When you make reservations say you are with the Airstream Opera Rally.
Campsite cost is $76/night, payable to Santa Fe Skies. They are holding 20 sites for our rally. Attendees need to call Santa Fe Skies to reserve their site before registering for the rally at the Arizona Airstream Club website.
Once you register for your campsite at Santa Fe Skies (cost $76/night), reserve your own opera tickets for the July 27 performance of "Elixir of Love" at https://www.santafeopera.org, or call the box office at 800-280-4654 or 505-986-5900.
RALLY FEE: $38.00 per person. Registration for this rally is via the Arizona Airstream Club website. Tailgate hors d'oeuvres will be provided by our own Heidi Vail.

Thursday, July 25
1:00 pm - arrive and set up
5:30 pm - Happy Hour Meet and Greet and Potluck
Friday, July 26
8:00 am - Optional - Breakfast Burritos from local favorite El Parasol (optional, order at registration). Choose from no meat, bacon, or chorizo. (All burritos contain potatoes, eggs, cheese, and chili). Cost, $10.00
8:30 am - Spend the day on your own in Santa Fe and surrounding area. Some possible activities:
- Museum Hill
- Georgia O'Keeffe Museum
- Los Alamos
- Bandera National Monument
- Puya Cliff Dwellings
- And more!
5:30 pm - Happy hour
Dinner on your own
Saturday, July 27 - Opera Day!
Breakfast on your own
9:00 am - Backstage Opera Tour at the Santa Fe Opera - (optional, choose at registration). Cost, $10.00.
Afternoon on your own
4:45 pm - meet to caravan together (in groups) to Santa Fe Opera and Italian Tailgate Picnic
5:30 pm - Opera Parking Lot opens. Locally Catered Tailgate Italian Picnic with Appetizers by AAC's own Heidi Vail (included in Rally Fee)
6:30 - pm or 7:30 pm - Opera Prelude Talks in Stieren Orchestra Hall

Cancellations: (AAC Cancellation Policy)
Simple Concept: If your cancellation results in a cost to the club, you will absorb the cost. The club does not plan the rallies and rally fees to make money, nor should the club be expected to lose money.
There is a strict AAC "Rally Fee" cancellation policy. (Cancellation within 30 days of the Rally will result in forfeiture of the "Rally Fee".)
If you decide to cancel your Attendance please cancel by notifying the RV Campground, then notify Arizona Airstream Club of your cancellation.
Cancelling with AAC does not cancel your RV Campground Reservation and you will be subject to their billing and cancellation policies.
For this Event, if you need to cancel your attendance do so directly with Santa Fe Skies RV Park, then contact Arizona Airstream Club (Cancellation Form) to notify the Club of your cancellation so that we know not to expect you.
