Brunswick Family Campground (BFC) is located roughly 1 hour from DC, Baltimore, and Northern Virginia. BFC is a great location for camping near Harpers Ferry and the Appalachian Trail at Weverton. Amenities found at the campground include: Bathhouse with showers, River access, Basketball court, Volleyball court, Dump station, Kayak, canoe, & tube rentals, A pavilion is available for our activities.
BFC is located directly on the C&O Canal between mileposts 54 & 55 so bring your bikes! There are also several popular hiking areas. In addition, this region is home to many breweries and wineries on both sides of the Potomac as well as a variety of quality food choices.
There are 29 spots reserved for us through February 29, 2024. All sites are Water/Electric only. Sites D2-12 are 50 amp. 30 Amp sites are A7-20 and B1-4. (B1-4 are wooded but not in the main area with A & D) We also have Pavilion 3 booked. Here is the campground map https://www.

The easiest and preferred method to book is via email at sales@rivertrail.com. Subject line should be April Airstream Rally. Jenn needs to know if you want 50 or 30 amp, any site preference, and the dates you will be arriving and departing. Our sites are officially reserved 4/25-28, but dates can be added or subtracted. Jenn also needs to know if you want insurance. She will then send you an invoice via a booking link. She is available Tues/Weds/Thurs each week. If email doesn’t work for you, she can be reached at 301-834-9950.
Insurance is new this year. With insurance you can get a full refund provided you cancel 48 hours in advance. Under 48 hours, you can reschedule for free. Insurance is 10% of the pre-tax invoice. Without insurance you must cancel 48 hours in advance and will receive credit for future use.
The campground has one dump station. While April may not be that busy, it is something to note. BFC does offer a pump out service on site for $25. This service can be added at booking or at the camp store.
BFC also has cabins for rent should this appeal to anyone. These should be booked directly on the website at https://www.rivertrail.com/
